Godard's call for endless film... the confluence of life as cinema reigns in the documentary works of Frederick Wiseman. His aesthetic concern is that of an immersed, sociological experience over time. The uncanny transparency of his {camera's} presence offers an observational quality open to multiple readings as life unfolds in all it's complexity. (These works can be viewed as part of an ongoing retrospective at MOMA.)
